Personae — Last updated: October 4, 2026
This policy explains what personal data the Personae app collects, why, how it is protected, and what your rights are.
The Personae app is published by Raphaël SLAVIK, an individual.
Contact: contact@personagame.fr
Personae can be used in two ways:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | Login identifier |
| Nickname | To identify you to other players |
| Password | To secure your account — it is hashed and never stored in plain text |
| Friend code | To let your friends add you |
| Creation date | Account management |
| Avatar (color, chosen drawing) | Customization — visible to other players during a game |
| Displayed title (unlocked achievement) | Customization — visible to other players during a game |
To build your statistics and psychological profile, the app keeps the number of games played and won, and, for each game: the questions asked, the number of votes received, and the predictions you made about yourself.
Your statistics (games played, wins) are visible to your confirmed friends in the friends leaderboard. By default, your detailed psychological profile is only accessible to you — see, however, section 4 on the Imprint Duel, which lets you share it voluntarily with a friend.
The friendships you create are kept so that the social features (invitations, friends leaderboard) can work.
The app stores locally a login token (to keep you signed in), your display language, the current room session (to resume an interrupted game), and the number of games completed. This information never leaves your device.
Personae does not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or advertising identifiers.
Your personal data is never sold, rented, exchanged or transferred to third parties, including your game statistics and psychological profile.
No data is passed on to data brokers, advertisers or commercial partners.
What other players can see depends on the context:
The Imprint Duel — as soon as two accounts are confirmed friends, each can view the other's full psychological profile at any time (self-perception and group perception, across all traits) to compare them side by side. No notification or additional consent is requested for each viewing: accepting a friend request is enough to make this comparison possible both ways.
Apart from this, your psychological profile is visible to no one but you — not to a player you haven't added as a friend, nor to someone you simply played with.
Data is hosted on servers located in the European Union (currently in France, with Amazon Web Services).
As the app is available worldwide, data from players outside the European Union is transferred to these European servers, which offer a level of protection compliant with the GDPR.
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists.
If you delete your account, all of your data is immediately and permanently erased: account, statistics, psychological profile, game history and friendships. This deletion is irreversible.
Guest players leave no personal data. Only anonymous figures are kept to measure usage (number of completed games, number of players in a game, joining a room by code or by invite link), with no nickname or identifier. These figures are daily totals: they show neither who played nor which questions came up.
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
To exercise these rights, write to contact@personagame.fr. You will receive a reply within one month at most.
You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority): www.cnil.fr.
Personae is not recommended for anyone under 16. Some of the game's questions deal with themes intended for a mature audience.
The app is not intended for children and does not knowingly collect data about minors under 16.
The app is currently free and contains no ads.
The publisher may offer additional paid content in the future (extra question packs, cosmetic items). Such purchases would be optional and would not affect the processing of your data as described here.
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or to regulations. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document. In the event of a substantial change, users with an account will be informed.
